A camping trip turned into an unexpected adventure for a group of Welsh scouts after they were called upon to help land a hot air balloon that came down near their site.
The young scouts were busy setting up camp and getting ready for what was supposed to be a fairly standard outdoor trip when the balloon appeared overhead and the crew needed a hand bringing it safely to the ground.
Rather than just watching from a distance, the scouts rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in, helping the balloon crew with the landing. It is the kind of real-world, hands-on experience that most people never get, and these youngsters stumbled into it completely by chance.
For many of the scouts, it would have been their first close-up look at a hot air balloon, let alone being part of the team responsible for getting one down safely.
