Three people have been charged with possession of almost €3.5 million following a major prostitution investigation, with all three remanded in custody after appearing before the courts.
Matheus Berberick, aged 35, his sister Maria Berberick, aged 27, and Sander de Silva Pereira, aged 40, were charged in connection with the case. The trio were remanded in custody following their court appearance.
The charges relate to the possession of significant sums of money believed to be linked to prostitution activity. The seizure of nearly €3.5 million represents one of the more substantial financial grabs to come out of this type of investigation in recent times.
