Aberdeen Man Arrested After Early Morning Disturbance Forces Residents To Evacuate

A man has been arrested after residents were forced to evacuate their flats in the early hours of Saturday morning following a disturbance in Aberdeen.

Police were called to a block of flats on Invercauld Road at around 2am, with officers attending the scene as the situation unfolded. Residents were asked to leave their homes while police dealt with the incident.

The nature of the disturbance has not been fully disclosed by Police Scotland, but the decision to evacuate the building suggests officers were treating the situation with considerable caution.

A man was subsequently arrested in connection with the incident. It is not yet clear what charges he may face, and Police Scotland have not released further details about the circumstances that led to the evacuation.

Invercauld Road is a residential street in Aberdeen, and the late night timing of the incident will have caused significant disruption for those living in the building, many of whom would have been woken in the middle of the night and asked to leave their homes at short notice.

Police Scotland have been contacted for further comment regarding the arrest and the condition of those involved.
