West Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious injury collision in Wakefield left at least one person hurt.
The force’s Roads Policing Unit is asking anyone who saw what happened to come forward, and are particularly keen to get hold of any dashcam or CCTV footage that might help piece together the events leading up to the crash.
Collisions causing serious injuries require thorough investigation, and footage from other road users can often prove vital in establishing exactly what happened and whether any offences were committed.
If you were in the Wakefield area at the time and have a dashcam fitted to your vehicle, officers are urging you to check your footage and get in touch if you captured anything relevant. Residents with home CCTV systems or doorbell cameras in the area are also being asked to review their recordings.
Anyone with information can contact West Yorkshire Police directly, quoting the relevant incident number. Information can also be passed anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
