Eight men have been charged following an investigation into a string of more than 20 car and key burglaries across Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
The charges stem from a series of break-ins at properties in Macclesfield, Trafford, Stockport, and Wythenshawe between April and June 2026.
Seven of the suspects were taken into custody on Thursday, July 9, after more than 100 officers from Cheshire and Greater Manchester Police raided nine homes in Wythenshawe. An eighth man was arrested the night before following a police pursuit in Salford.
Following questioning, all eight defendants were charged with conspiracy to commit residential burglary with intent to steal, and conspiracy to steal motor vehicles (dating between April 1 and July 10, 2026).

Gary Stanway, 34, of Tuffley Road, Wythenshawe
Damien Carter, 26, of Robinswood Road, Wythenshawe
Delton Timothy, 21, of no fixed abode
Alan McCabe, 25, of Marlston Avenue, Salford
Niall Ritchie, 21, of Plowden Road, Wythenshawe
Jordan Davies, 32, of Moor Lane, Wythenshawe
Lewis Deakin, 22, of Overdale Road, Wythenshawe
All eight have been remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before Chester Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, July 11.
