West Yorkshire Police are asking the public to help track down a man suspected of carrying out a sexual offence at a business in Batley after he was seen looking over the top of a cubicle in the women’s toilets.
Detectives from the Kirklees district have launched an appeal after the incident, which left staff and visitors at the premises deeply unsettled. The man reportedly peered over the top of a cubicle while a woman was inside, in what police are treating as a sexual offence.
The investigation is being handled by officers based in Kirklees, who are now turning to the public for help identifying the suspect. No name or description has been released at this stage, but police have shared an image in connection with the appeal in the hope that someone will recognise the individual.
Anyone who knows who this person is, or has any information about the incident, is being urged to get in touch with West Yorkshire Police directly. Information can also be passed on anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
