Jack Shepherd, the man branded the “speedboat killer” after being convicted of manslaughter back in 2018, has pleaded guilty to violently assaulting his girlfriend with a pair of BBQ tongs.
Shepherd, who became one of Scotland’s most notorious criminals after his high-profile case gripped the country, admitted to the assault in court, adding yet another dark chapter to an already deeply troubling history.
The 2018 manslaughter conviction came after Shepherd was at the helm of a speedboat on the Thames when passenger Charlotte Brown, 24, fell overboard and drowned. He had initially fled to Georgia to avoid justice before eventually being extradited back to the UK to face the consequences.
