Edinburgh Concerts Cancelled Just Days Before Showtime At Royal Highland Centre

Two upcoming concerts at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh have been axed with barely any notice, leaving ticket holders frustrated and scrambling for answers.

The events, both scheduled to take place at the popular Edinburgh venue, were pulled just days before they were due to go ahead. Fans who had already bought tickets and made plans to attend are now facing the disappointment of having their nights out cancelled at the last minute.

The Royal Highland Centre, based at Ingliston on the outskirts of Edinburgh, is one of Scotland’s larger event spaces and regularly hosts concerts, festivals and large-scale public events. Short-notice cancellations at venues of this size are relatively rare, making the situation all the more surprising for those affected.

Details around the exact reasons for the cancellations have not been fully explained publicly, leaving ticket holders with more questions than answers. For many fans, the late timing of the announcement means they may have already arranged travel, accommodation or time off work to attend.

Anyone who purchased tickets is being advised to seek refunds through the original point of sale. Depending on how tickets were bought, the refund process can vary, so holders are encouraged to check directly with the ticketing provider as soon as possible.

The cancellations are a blow for Edinburgh’s live events scene, which has been working hard to build momentum and attract big names and large crowds to the city outside of the busy festival season. Losing two events in one go, especially with so little warning, is not a great look for the venue or the promoters involved.

No word yet on whether either concert will be rescheduled at a later date.
