Havertop Police Station Helpdesk Closing Early This Week

Residents in the Havertop area are being warned that the public helpdesk at Havertop Police Station is operating on reduced hours for the rest of this week.

Starting from Wednesday 22 July, the counter will be shutting at 6pm instead of its usual 8pm closing time. The change affects the remainder of the working week, meaning anyone who normally pops in during the evening hours will need to plan ahead.

Under normal circumstances, the helpdesk runs from 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday, giving the public a fairly wide window to come in and speak to officers or staff in person. That window is now two hours shorter each day until the week is out.

West Yorkshire Police has not detailed the specific reason behind the early closures, but residents are being encouraged to check for updates or find alternative ways to get in touch with the force if they need assistance outside of the new temporary hours.

Anyone with urgent concerns can still contact West Yorkshire Police through the non-emergency 101 number or by visiting the force’s website. In an emergency, 999 remains the number to call at any time of day.
